Importing Participant Tips

Help, when I upload my participant file I receive an error stating that file can not be uploaded. 

Here are the four main reasons you receive an error message when importing participants:

  1. File has been renamed 
  2. Columns in file have been deleted or moved
  3. Data input incorrectly
  4. File is no longer a CSV file, and has been saved as an XLS

When you export your import template file follow the steps on how to import your participants which can be found here.

Tips on how to avoid an error when importing your participants:

  1. Avoid changing the name of the file downloaded from the Together platform
  2. Do not delete or rename any of the columns in the downloaded csv file
  3. Leave the External Reference column blank for all participants
  4. Ensure you save the completed file as a .csv
